Hello and welcome to the Auslan level 1 online course!

Thank you for enrolling in the Auslan Level 1 online course. We trust you will find joy in learning Auslan and appreciate your confidence in us as your instructors. Your enthusiasm for acquiring the ability to sign with family, friends, work colleagues, customers, or simply to embrace a new language is inspiring to us.

Now that your password is set up, you won't need this setup email anymore since the link will expire in a week. To log in, simply use your email and password on our website, www.learnauslan.com.au, by selecting 'login' in the top right corner. Don't forget to bookmark the page for easy access!

Please read this section carefully as it contains important tips and information about the course.

• Initially, videos did not include subtitles. However, with the introduction of AI, the creation of subtitles has become automated. Consequently, most videos now come with subtitles, making it much easier to learn Auslan even with the sound turned off!

• If you are finding the signing too quick to follow, click or tap on the gears icon on the bottom right hand corner of the video and then click/tap "speed". By default, the videos are set to x1, you can reduce it to .75 or .5 if you wish.

• Most videos come with a downloadable PDF that lists the signs taught and the sentences in order. This can be printed and used as a prompt to recall the signs from each section and to practice signing independently, without the need to watch the videos, as a self-test.

• After each video lesson there is a comment section where you can make comments / ask questions and we will respond to them as quickly as possible. Alternatively, you can email the business manager directly at a[email protected]
