Action signs are closely related to Descriptive signs as you are painting a picture of what you are doing to the person you are signing with. A great example of this is how Raquel signs "EAT". Are you just eating casually or stuffing your face? Or maybe you're not hungry and just casually picking at your food.

If you need to show that you or a person is jumping for a long period of time then just keep repeating the action. If the jump was small or from a height then show that in your signing.
